ROC van Twente
Tertiary vocational-education students give an important innovation impulse to the use of drones in the field
Drones are used more and more on the work floor. ROC van Twente responds to the growing demand from the work field with its optional “Droning – Applications” program.
During this program, students of the creative, logistical and technical programs learn about how drones can enrich their field as well. The ROC’s tertiary vocational-education college for Transport, Logistics and Mobility is increasingly integrating drones into its lessons
Raising awareness of drone applications
The optional program is the result of a collaboration between ROC van Twente, Drone Flight Academy and Space53. Tertiary vocational-education students can give an important innovation impulse to the use of drones in the field. By raising students’ awareness during their studies of the opportunities and possibilities that drone applications offer, they are able to introduce their future employers to drones and other types of robotics.
Students can expect a versatile program that offers a good balance between theory and practice. The flight and practical lessons are organized in collaboration with Drone Flight Academy. During the theory lessons, topics such as meteorology, aviation law and technology are covered.
"Met de combinatie van hightech kennis en vaardigheden, voorzieningen voor testen en experimenteren en de intensieve samenwerking met overheden en hulpdiensten, hebben we een unieke positie in de dronewereld.
