Mike, also team leader at “het Ondernemersloket“, is looking forward to his new role as program manager: “The Municipality of Enschede values the great ambition and potential of Space53, especially when we talk about the application of safety & security drones. Together with companies, researchers and students, the regional government and end users, we succeed in developing and implementing innovations even better. Within the cluster, we are now taking the next step toward an ecosystem that strengthens the connection between the developer of technology, aid provider and legislator.”
Mike acquired the necessary experience with drones in the public domain from his municipal background. In his current position, he was already an account manager at innovation campus Technology Base and fulfilled the project leader role of the Space53 project PUCA (Platform for Unmanned Cargo Aircraft). Mike is taking over from Wouter Asveld. Wouter was involved with Space53 from the very beginning, the last six months, he has been active as interim program manager. The Space53 board thanks Wouter for his commitment and enthusiasm in developing the drone cluster!
